    The QikBIM AI Platform launched globally on June 24, 2026, marking the transition of OFA Group’s automation system from industrial testing to a commercial Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.

    The global release follows a structured commercial rollout that began with pilot testing in September 2025 and an initial North American deployment on January 15, 2026. By shifting from project-based architectural consulting to a recurring subscription model, OFA Group (Nasdaq: OFAL) aims to address chronic skilled labor shortages and rising design costs.

    QikBIM AI Platform automates fundamental design workflows

    The company reported that early pilot programmes achieved an 80% time reduction during schematic modeling, moving cycles from weeks down to single-digit hours.

    The QikBIM AI Platform leverages AI to generate coordinated architectural drawings and structural plans that typically require manual drafting. The system’s current commercial capabilities include automated clash detection, which identifies spatial conflicts early in the design phase. This focus on precision helps engineers maintain agility by ensuring that technical plans are consistent before reaching the construction site.

    Beyond drawing generation, the software produces intelligent parametric BIM models and permit-level documentation. These outputs are natively Revit-compatible and support standard IFC and DWG exports to ensure they fit into established professional workflows. This interoperability is essential for large-scale firms that rely on specific software ecosystems to manage complex infrastructure and industrial projects.

    Improving economics in construction documentation

    The platform is designed to shorten the gap between conceptual design and construction documentation. According to CEO Larry Wong, the industry requires a fundamentally different production model rather than incremental gains. This shift is particularly relevant as the cobot market and other automation sectors see similar moves toward collaborative technology to offset labor constraints.

    To ensure the platform’s financial viability, OFA Group completed a strategic intellectual property restructuring on April 6, 2026. This process converted approximately $12 million in past development costs into recognized capitalized intangible assets. The restructuring provides a clearer balance sheet as the company pivots toward becoming an AI-driven software provider for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector.

    Commercial subscription model and market positioning

    OFA Group has positioned QikBIM as a scalable cloud solution with a predictable cost structure. As of early 2026, the corporate membership price was set at $20,000 per year for projects up to 16,000 square feet. This SaaS approach allows developers and design-build companies to access high-speed modeling without the overhead of traditional architectural consulting fees or large internal drafting departments.

    The financial figures surrounding the launch reflect the company’s current transition phase. As of the June 24 global launch, OFA Group had a market capitalization of $9.39 million and reported revenue of $0.71 million for the previous twelve months. On the day of the announcement, the stock traded near $0.19, which is its 52-week low.

    These figures underscore the importance of the QikBIM launch in establishing a recurring, scalable revenue stream.

    Target users and sector-specific applications

    The platform targets a broad spectrum of industry professionals, including BIM consultants and construction technology specialists. For these users, the bottleneck often occurs during the translation of concepts into permit-ready technical plans. QikBIM’s AI-generated documentation aims to clear this hurdle by producing technical data that meets regulatory requirements with significantly less human intervention.

    Key details

    While the current release focuses on structural and architectural automation, the company has confirmed that future updates will include AI-based mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) generation. Adding these capabilities would address the most clash-prone areas of a building’s design.

    This philosophy of using technology to bypass resource limitations is similar to how innovators like Jesutomiwa Salam use scarcity as a blueprint for engineering more efficient systems.

    Technical integration and workflow compatibility

    For engineering practitioners, the utility of QikBIM rests on its support for DWG and IFC formats. These files are the standard for data exchange between architects and fabricators. OFA Group’s emphasis on these formats, alongside Revit compatibility, suggests a focus on practical application over purely theoretical AI generation.

    If the generated models can be used immediately in standard CAD software, the barrier to adoption remains low.

    The automated clash detection feature represents a shift toward “defensive engineering” protocols. By scanning for intersections between beams, pipes, and walls before construction begins, the platform reduces the likelihood of onsite delays. For developers and contractors, this translates to a more predictable construction timeline and a reduction in expensive manual coordination work.

    Strategic outlook for AEC technology

    The global launch of QikBIM marks a milestone for the Torrance, California-based OFA Group as it seeks to redefine the design workflow. Moving from a service-based business to a software provider is a complex transition, but it reflects a wider trend of digitizing the construction industry. The company plans to continue expanding the platform’s automation features to support deeper digital construction workflows.

    As the AEC industry faces increasing pressure for faster project delivery, the role of manual drafting is being re-evaluated. QikBIM’s focus on permit-level documentation gives it a distinct use case for firms that need to scale production without increasing headcount. The success of the platform will likely depend on whether its AI can consistently meet the rigorous accuracy requirements of local building departments worldwide.
