    Claros Technologies, Inc. has secured $55 million in Series B financing to accelerate its proprietary ClarosTechUV™ PFAS Destruction System, furthering PFAS destruction technology. , a Minneapolis-based specialist in environmental remediation, has secured $55 million in Series B financing. Announced on July 28, 2026, the funding aims to accelerate the global commercialisation of its proprietary ClarosTechUV™ PFAS Destruction System and expand its ClarosLabs™ analytical operations, furthering PFAS destruction technology.

    Treehouse Family Capital LLC led the investment round, with significant participation from Daikin America, Inc., Veralto, Bush Foundation, Nord Asset Management, and Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, alongside existing investors.

    Advancing PFAS destruction technology innovation

    This capital injection positions Claros Technologies to meet escalating global demand for permanent solutions to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination. The company will use the funds to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, enhance operational reach, and expand its footprint across North America, Europe, and Asia. It also plans to invest further in research and development.

    The core of Claros Technologies’ offering lies in its ClarosTechUV™ PFAS Destruction System. This proprietary UV-photochemical process is engineered for the permanent eradication of PFAS compounds, representing a significant shift from traditional methods that merely transfer contaminants between waste streams.

    The system effectively destroys long-chain, short-chain, and ultra-short-chain PFAS compounds. It consistently achieves greater than 99.99% destruction rates across these diverse chemical structures. This high efficacy is crucial for addressing the persistent nature of these “forever chemicals.”

    The ClarosTechUV system’s engineering principles

    ClarosTechUV™ is designed for real-world industrial and environmental applications. Its field-ready, affordable, and high-flow characteristics enable scalable deployment across various challenging scenarios. This engineering approach makes it suitable for widespread adoption.

    In December 2025, Claros Technologies partnered with Daikin America, Inc. to conduct one of the world’s largest industrial PFAS destruction demonstrations. The system successfully treated over 170,000 gallons (approximately 640,000 litres) of industrial process water at Daikin America’s facility in Decatur, Alabama. This pilot achieved over 99.99% destruction of targeted PFAS species at high flow rates.

    Earlier in April 2026, the technology showed similar performance in large-scale groundwater remediation projects. It demonstrated ≥99.99% destruction of targeted PFAS compounds from concentrate derived from approximately one million gallons (3.8 million litres) of groundwater. Such results underscore the system’s versatility.

    Doug Parker, PhD, Vice President of Claros Technologies, notes that the system destroys all currently regulated PFAS compounds. It also tackles many compounds likely to face regulation soon. The technology has successfully treated wastewater with PFAS concentrations ranging from hundreds of micrograms per litre to single-digit milligrams per litre, showcasing its adaptability to diverse contamination levels.

    Precision analytical capabilities through ClarosLabs

    Beyond destruction, Claros Technologies integrates comprehensive analytical services through its ClarosLabs™ division. This ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory provides essential support for industries grappling with PFAS issues. These services ensure accurate measurement and assessment.

    ClarosLabs™ focuses on PFAS detection, quantification, and exposure assessment. This holistic approach means clients not only have access to permanent destruction technology but also reliable data on the presence and concentration of these harmful chemicals.
