    Bosch Power Tools has expanded its range of professional metalworking tools with two new pieces of hardware aimed at fabricators, maintenance crews, and automotive technicians. Announced on 27 August 2026 in Bengaluru, India, the launch introduced a lightweight magnetic core drill and a compact, cordless right-angle impact wrench designed to improve efficiency in demanding work environments.

    The release features the GBM 38 Professional Magnetic Core Drill and the GRS 18V-330 Professional Right-Angle Impact Wrench. The move signals Bosch’s continued focus on user-centric design, with the tools addressing specific challenges faced by professionals, from reducing operator fatigue to accessing hard-to-reach components in complex machinery.

    The engineering behind Bosch’s new metalworking tools

The new GBM 38 Professional Magnetic Core Drill directly tackles this issue. Weighing just 10.5 kg, it is nearly 40% lighter than many standard magnetic drills, a significant reduction that can lessen physical strain on operators during overhead or high-elevation work.

The drill is equipped with thermal overload protection and a dedicated current fuse to ensure consistent performance under load. According to Bosch, the tool is supplied with a complete accessory kit, allowing fabricators and maintenance teams to deploy it immediately on site without needing to source additional components.

    The GRS 18V-330 Professional right-angle impact wrench

    For automotive technicians and industrial mechanics, the biggest challenge is often not a lack of power but a lack of space. The GRS 18V-330 Professional is a cordless right-angle impact wrench designed specifically for these environments. Its most notable feature is an exceptionally compact head, measuring just 78 mm by 56 mm.

    This small form factor allows operators to reach bolts in cramped engine bays, around pipe flanges, and within tight structural frameworks where conventional pistol-grip impact wrenches cannot reach. The tool’s brushless motor delivers 330 Nm of fastening torque and 560 Nm of breakaway torque and can handle bolts up to M18.
